INSPECTION
Check of bend, damage or wearing of the shift
shaft.
Check of damage or wearing of the shift arm
spring as well as the return spring.
Mount camshaft
into the holes on
the shift amshaft drum.
Align the hole on the guard to the pins on the
shift camshaft drum, then install the guard.

Tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
Apply engine oil at the oil seal of the starting
shaft.
Pull down the shift arm as shown in the figure;
install the shaft.
NOTE:
When installing the shaft, snap the end of the
return spring in the spring pin of the crankcase.
