Preparing Basket Assemblies
1. Ensure the basket assemblies are clean and dry.
2. Snap the glass tubes into the clips in the basket
assembly.
3. Ensure the bottom of each tube is in contact with the
wire mesh at the base of the basket assembly.
4. Drop dosage forms into the tubes.
5. If disks are required for the test, place the disks into the
tubes on top of the dosage forms, ensuring the small
side of the trapezoid is down, as shown at left.
6. Using the TOOLS menu, move the baskets to the LIFT
positon.
7. Angle the basket and insert the flange of the shaft into
the basket shaft holder; ensure the flange sits squarely
inside the groove as shown below.
8. Note: the assembly is INCORRECT if the flange rests
on the top or side of the shaft holder as shown below.
