– The installation alcove must not have a
rear wall.
Your built-in furniture may need to be mod-
ified.
If you do not have the manual skills to do
this, you should hire a professional.
– Veneers or plastic coverings on the built-
in furniture require heat-resistant adhesive
(100 °C). If the adhesive and surfaces are
not heat-resistant, the covering may warp
and come loose.
– An earthed socket must be installed in the
alcove or its immediate vicinity (max. 1 m
away) (see the “Connection” section).
– The appliance should not be placed direct-
ly beside a refrigerator or freezer. Heat loss
unnecessarily increases their energy con-
sumption.
– There must be a minimum spacing of 2 m
from radio devices, televisions etc. to en-
sure that the reception is not distorted.
Connection
Depending on the installation alcove, the ap-
pliance must be connected before or after
installation.
WARNING
Electric shock / fi re hazard!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.
■
Since all poles of the appliance can-
not be disconnected from the mains
via an accessible disconnecting de-
vice, an all-pole disconnecting device
in accordance with overvoltage cate-
gory III must be connected within the
house installation with at least 3 mm
contact clearance; consult a qualifi ed
professional if necessary (see “Ser-
vice” on page EN-41).
• Check whether the appliance’s supply volt-
age is compatible with the supply voltage
used in your house (see the type plate).
• Please ensure you only connect the appli-
ance to a professionally installed earthed
socket with sufficient fuse protection
(230 V~/50 Hz/16 A).
• Do not use multiple plug sockets or exten-
sion cables.
After inserting the mains plug into the socket,
a beep will sound and the display (2) shows
0:00
(see “Setting the time” on page EN-18).
