Prerequisites for installation
You have read the chapter entitled „Safety“.
Place the drill holes
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Improper installation of the appliance
can lead to injury.

At the point where the exhaust hood
is installed, the ceiling or wall must
have a load-bearing capacity of at
least 40 kg and must be at least 30
mm thick to provide suffi cient sup-
port for wall plugs or heavy-duty an-
chors.
■
Before drilling the holes, ensure that
no wires or cables (power, gas, water
etc.) will be damaged (check with a
line locator).
Use only mounting materials that are
suitable for the characteristics of the
ceiling and walls. If you are not sure
of your selection, ask a professional
for guidance.

The distance between the cooking
surfaces and the lower edge of the
Exhaust hood must be at least 65 cm
for gas cookers.
■
For gas stovetops, you must read the
user manual for the stovetop! If the
manual stipulates a larger distance,
this must be observed.

1. To position the appliance exactly over the
centre of the cooker, first draw a refer-
ence line on the wall (a vertical line drawn
using a level or plumb-bob from the cen-
tre of the cooker to the ceiling).
2. Hold the exhaust hood

such a way that the minimum distance

from the stove is at least 65 cm and the
middle of the exhaust hood is flush to the
vertical guideline.
Check the alignment using a level.

3. Use a pencil to mark the four drilling holes
using the hangers.
The two outer drilling holes are for the
hanger; they must have a clearance of
50 cm.
Both inner drilling holes are for the fuse;
they must have a clearance of 40 cm and
must be offset from the outer drilling holes
by 5 cm each.
4. Remove the exhaust hood again.
