Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can put
your own and future users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to
carry out this repair work.
The control panel is not re-
sponding to inputs.
The hob did not switch on.
• Switch the hob on using the On/Off sensor.
The sensor was touched for less than 1 second.
• Touch the sensor for a little longer.
The sensor was obscured/dirty.
• Clean the control panel.
The sensor control panel
switches itself off.
There was no input for longer than 60 seconds after switching
on.
• Switch the hob on and enter an input immediately.
The appliance cannot be
switched on; the sensor field
remains dark.
The power supply has been interrupted.
• Check the fuse for the stove in the fuse box in the apart-
ment.
• In case of doubt, inform our Service Centre.
The sensors do not react.
The safety lock is now enabled.
• Switch off the lock function (see “Locking function (child
safety function)” on page EN-18).
The sensors respond poorly. There is a film of water over the sensors.
• Clean and dry the sensor field.
You are not pressing the sensors sufficiently.
• Always touch the sensors with your entire fingertip, not just
the very end of the finger.
The hob switches off
unexpectedly. You will hear
a signal tone and an error
message will appear in the
sensor field.
Technical error.
• Take note of the error message that appears on the sensor
field, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and
contact our Service department.
The glass ceramic surface is
scratched.
Cookware with sharp edges has been used.
• Only use suitable cookware without sharp edges.
The wrong cleaning product was used.
• Clean and maintain the class ceramic surface with a spe-
cial cleaner (see “Cleaning and maintaining the hob” on
page EN-21).
