Troubleshooting
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not nec-
essarily mean there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please
check the tables to see if you can correct the malfunction.

Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective applian-
ce yourself. You can put your own and future users’ lives in
danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out
this repair work.

The hand
blender isn’t
working.
The hand blender is
locked.
Press the safety
switch (1) and then the
power switch (2).
The cutting
blades are
jammed.
You are trying to blend
too much food.
Reduce the amount of
food.
The food is sticking to
the cutting blades.
Remove the drive unit
and free the cutting
blades from the food.
Heat, smoke
and an unusual
smell occur
while blending.
You are trying to blend
too much food.
Reduce the amount of
food.
You are using the hand
blender longer than the
permitted period of one
minute.
Reduce the time to one
minute and then let
the hand blender cool
down for at least three
minutes.
The food you are
blending is too hot.
Make sure that the food
is not hotter than 60 °C.
