Operation
Before you begin
• Install and connect the appliance as de-
scribed in chapter "Installation and con-
nection" from page EN-31.
• Cleane the appliance thoroughly as de-
scribed on page EN-35.
The right oven cookware
– Pots with heat-resistant handles can be
recognised by the label indicating "heat re-
sistant up to 280 °C".
– Fire-proof dishes made of glass, porcelain,
ceramic and clay or cast iron.
– In particular, ovens with top and bottom
heat require dishes and trays with good
heat transfer, preferably ones made of met-
als which have been painted black as they
allow cakes to brown nicely.
– Good results can also be achieved with
coated or non-coated aluminium trays.
Proper handling of the oven
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
The oven and cooking compartment
door become very hot when in opera-
tion. Be careful not to touch the heat-
ing elements inside the oven. Children
aged 8 years or younger must be kept
away from the appliance, unless they
are under constant supervision.

Do not touch the oven and the cook-
ing compartment door when it is in
operation. Risk of burning!
■
Only hold the cooking compartment
door by its handle.
■
Do not leave the oven unattended
when in operation.
■
Keep children away from the hot
oven.
Fire hazard!
■
Only ever operate the oven with the
cooking compartment door closed.
■
If the external cooling fan/extractor
is defective, switch off the oven and
do not use it. Open the cooking com-
partment door and call our Service
department.
■
In case of an oven fire
–
Switch off the circuit break-
ers/unscrew fuses
–
do
not
open the cooking compart-
ment door until the fire has been
extinguished.
■
Never
extinguish burning oil or fat
with water! To extinguish the fire, use
a suitable fire extinguisher with the
designation "F" or a fire blanket.
■
Once the fire has been extinguished,
have the appliance checked by our
Service department.
NOTICE
Pent-up heat can damage the oven’s
enamel.
■
Do not place baking trays or alumini-
um foil directly on the bottom of the
cooking compartment.
■
If you wish to place dishes directly on
the bottom of the cooking compart-
ment, the oven temperature must not
exceed 50 °C. Be careful when han-
dling cookware – the enamel can be
easily scratched.
