Chapter 3: Cards and Expansion Slots

Your HandEra handheld computer features two expansion slots.
These slots are located on the top of the unit.

♦

The smaller slot supports Secure Digital (SD) cards.

♦

The larger slot supports CompactFlash (CF) cards.

Figure 3-1. Expansion Slots

SD and CF refer to recognized industry standards of physical shape
and size used for expansion options. The most popular expansion
option, for both the SD and CF format, is the memory card. Memory
cards allow additional storage for handheld computers.

Note:

The SD slot also supports Multimedia (MMC) cards.
