b Select IVMS from the system m enu as shown above, then Mul tiscan will
attempt communication to the IVMS control m odul e. If the car has the
IVMS system, then Mul tiscan will show you the IVMS item listi ng.
c If the “Com municati on Error” message is displayed, the system is ei ther
not fitted to the vehicle or does not feature self-diagnostics.
2. IVMS items
a Once the com muni cation is established, Multiscan lists al l 22 IVMS item s,
however, in the same m anner, it doesn’t m ean that com muni cation with
each of 22 item s is supported by the IVMS m odule.
b Select an IVMS i tem from the IVMS menu, then Multiscan will
com municate to the IVMS control module to check if the i tem is
supported. If the i tem is supported, then Multiscan will show the
avai lable functions with the item , i n exam ple, live data and actuation test.
c If the “Communicati on Error” message is displayed, it is probable that
the item is not supported by the IVMS module.
