Maintain a safe distance
Do not stand directly in line when the cable pulls. If the cable comes off or breaks, it will be thrown
back like a whip along this line.
Keep your hands, clothing, hair and jewellery away from the winch when it is running.
Have someone help you check that it is safe to activate the winch. Make sure that this person is at
a safe distance from the vehicle and cable before you turn on the winch.
Maximum capacity
Never try to exceed the maximum towing capacity of your winch.
Never use the hand crank to "help" the winch
– this will damage the winch and may cause injury.
