3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR STAPLERS
WARNING:
Pacemaker wearers, exposure to magnetic fields generated
by the tool can result in death or serious injury. Pacemaker wearers should
not operate this tool. If you have any reason to suspect that interference is
taking place, turn off the tool immediately and seek medical assistance.
WARNING:
When using any stapler, all safety precautions, as outlined
below, should be followed to reduce the risk of death or serious personal
injury. Read and understand all instructions before operating the tool.
•
Actuating the tool may result in flying staples, debris,
materials, or dust which may injure your eyes.
You and all
persons in the general area should wear ANSI-approved safety glasses
with permanently attached side shields.
• Always turn off main power switch first, then disconnect battery pack
from the tool whenever clearing a jam, performing any maintenance
or repair, transporting the tool or when the tool is unattended.
• Do not remove, tamper with, or otherwise cause the tool, trigger, or
contact trip to become inoperable. Do not tape or tie trigger in the ON
position or press contact trip.
•
Do not operate a tool if any portion of the tool is
inoperable, disconnected, altered, or not working properly.
Damaged parts or missing parts should be repaired or replaced
before use.
•
Do not alter or modify the tool in any way.
•
Do not carry the tool from place to place holding the
trigger. Accidental discharge could result.
•
Always keep the power switch off when tool is not in
immediate use.
Keeping the power switch off will prevent
accidental discharge.
•
Use the tool only for its intended use. Do not discharge
fasteners into open air, concrete, stone, hardwoods, knots
or any material too hard for the fastener to penetrate.
•
Do not use the tool as a hammer.
•
Always keep fingers clear of staple track of magazine to
prevent injury from inadvertent release of the magazine
pusher.
