Tools Maintenance -
CAUTION
•
Disconnect battery pack from tool or place the switch in
the locked or off position before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing the tool.
Such preventative
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.
•
Store idle tools out of reach of children and other
untrained persons.
Tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
•
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects like: paper clips, coins, keys, staples, screws
or other small metal objects that can make a connection
from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals
together may cause sparks, burns, or a fire.
•
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect
the tool’s operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced
before using.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
tools. There is a risk of bursting if the tool is damaged.
•
This tool is designed to be used in indoor environments.
Outdoor environments may contain moisture, dust,
dirt, contaminants and environmental exposure
that are unsuitable for the tool. Do not use
outdoors.
•
Never allow the tool, battery or charger to
get wet or become immersed in water.
•
STORAGE: When storing your tool, ensure it is placed in a
clean, dry environment that does not exceed 77°F (25°C).
Keep the tool inside the tool case or tool bag that it came in.
• Always use specified QuikStrap™ Staples by Halex. Use of non-Halex
brand staples may permanently damage the tool and cause bodily
injury. Use of non-Halex brand staples will void the warranty.
Tool Service
•
Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair
personnel.
Service or maintenance performed by unqualified
personnel could result in a risk of injury.
•
NEVER service a tool yourself.
Always send to proper factory
service facility. This tool operates at high voltages. Never open the
tool housing.
•
When replacing worn out or defective battery packs or other
replaceable accessories, use only identical replacement
parts.
Use only authorized parts or failure to follow maintenance
instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
