Safe Tool Operation -

 WARNING

•  Always handle a tool as if it is loaded with fastener(s).

•

Avoid accidental starting. Be sure contact trip is in the off

position before inserting battery pack. Be sure trigger

switch is also in the off position to avoid accidental

discharge.

• NEVER, EVER point the tool toward yourself or anyone else

whether it contains fasteners or not.

•  Do not depress the trigger unless the nose piece of tool is directed

onto a safe work surface.

•  Do not carry a tool with the trigger depressed.

•  Do not load a tool with fasteners while the trigger is depressed.

•  Make sure that the mechanical linkage between work-contacting

element and trigger is enclosed.

•

Do not drive staples onto the heads of other fasteners. This

could cause the staple to be deflected and hit someone, or

cause the tool to react and result in a risk of injury.

•

Always wear appropriate hearing protection during use.

Under some conditions and duration of use, noise from

this product may contribute to hearing loss.

•

Use only QuikStrap

Staples. The use of other types of

fasteners could result in serious bodily injury to you or

bystanders.

General Safety -

 WARNING

•

Do not use the tool if you are tired or under the influence

of drugs, alcohol, or medication.

 A moment of inattention

while operating power tools can result in serious personal injury.

•

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.

Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves

away from moving parts.

Loose clothing, jewelry, or long hair

can be caught in moving parts. Air vents cover moving parts and

should be avoided.

•

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all

times.

Proper footing and balance enables better control of the

tool in unexpected situations.

•

Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support

the work-piece to a stable platform.

 Holding the work by

hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of

control.

•

Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on or off.

 A tool

that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be

repaired.
