General information

Do not install any damaged parts – the guarantee and the proof of usability
shall be immediately invalidated.

Without complete and proper installation, the housing does not have the
proof of suitability in accordance with the building authorities.
-
The laws and directives of building legislation and the requirements of the
responsible building authority and the assigned fire protection expert must be
complied with.
-
As the installation technician, do not create an unrestricted manufacturer
declaration of compliance with the building authority approval unless
everything has been installed accordingly. Note any deviations which are not
negligible.

Please comply with the applicable VDE regulations.
-
Comply with the requirements of the fire authorities.
-
Comply with the accident prevention directives and the workplace directive.
-
The doors' swivel range must always be kept free.
-
Access to the housing by unauthorised persons must be prohibited.
-
The doors of the fire protection housing must be kept closed during
operation.

Secure the housing against tipping

The substrate must be level

Suitable solely for indoor installation

The installation site must be dry and free of frost, ambient tempe5 °C
to +30 °C

Not suitable for outdoor installation

The floor/wall must be suitable (load capacity, classification)

Carefully check the suitability of the wall properties with regard to the heavy
weight of the housing before installing the electrical hanging housing (FBxxLE
/ FBxxSE).

Check the suitability of the enclosed dowels with regard to the wall
properties.
-
Note the power loss of the installed devices and wiring in comparison with
the specified power loss of the distributor (VDE 0660, Part 500/504).

The housing must be aligned at its final installation site. The housing can be
lifted at its corners for this and its height compensated with spacers.
-
The housing must then stand horizontally.
-
The housing must be secured against tipping.
-
Check that the fire protection seals are undamaged.
-
Check that the door locks flawlessly when the housing is closed.
