Look-closely assignments for 1 child aged 2 1/2 and 1 adult

Place the puzzle pieces in the center of the table. The wooden figures are not needed. Slowly read the assignments out loud. Allow your child
time to think, search and count. Help your child only if he can’t find the solution on his own. If a question is still too difficult just skip it. Of course
you can also think about further questions.
1. Memorizing and narrating
• Ask your child to narrate the play story again:

2. Searching for and discovering details
• Have you spotted the red bucket?
• Where is the cat/ the frog/ the blue bird/ the earthworm?

3. Recognizing and naming colors
• What color is the bucket?
• What color are the animals you can see? (cat, chicken, goose, frog, butterflies and so on)
• Have a look at the vegetable garden: What colors can you see there?
• There are also many things to discover next to the pond: what color is …?
4. Counting with numbers up to 12
• How many butterflies can you count in total? (3)
• Have a look at the vegetable garden. How many lettuces can you count? (2) And how many carrots? (5) Count the yellow and the red tulips (5).
• How many dandelion blossoms can you find on this puzzle piece? (7)
• Count the dandelions on the other two puzzle pieces as well! How many are there on each piece? Puzzle piece with fence (5),
