Description
Use the
loopback-detection control enable
command to enable loopback detection control on trunk or
hybrid ports.
Use the
undo loopback-detection control enable
command to restore the default.
By default, loopback detection control is disabled on trunk and hybrid ports.
When a hybrid or trunk port detects a loop condition, it sends traps, whether loopback detection control
is enabled or not. However, only after loopback detection control is enabled, will the port discard all
inbound packets on the port while normally forwarding outbound packets on it. Meanwhile, the device
sends trap messages to the terminal, and deletes the corresponding MAC address forwarding entry
This command is not applicable to access ports.
