member-id
: Specifies the member ID of a subordinate member. The
member-id
argument cannot take the
member ID of the master switch.
Description
Use
irf switch-to
to access a subordinate switch's CLI from the master's CLI.
When you log in to an IRF fabric, you are placed at the CLI of the master, regardless of at which member
switch you are logged in. After that, you can access the CLI of a subordinate switch to execute a limited
set of maintenance commands.
At the CLI of a subordinate switch, you are placed in user view, and the command prompt changes to
<Sysname-Slave#member-ID/slot-number>
, for example, <Sysname-Slave#2>. You can use the
following commands at a subordinate switch's CLI:

display
•
quit
•
return
•
system-view
•
debugging
•
terminal debugging
•
terminal trapping
•
terminal logging
To return to the CLI of the master switch, use the
quit
command.
