Connecting a DC power cord

CAUTION:

•

Make sure each power cord has a separate circuit breaker.

•

Before you connect a power cord, turn off the circuit breaker for it.

To connect a DC power cord:

Route the power cord along the cable ladder.

Connect the DC power cord connector to the DC input receptacle on the power supply.

Fasten the screw on the connector to secure the connector to the receptacle.

Connect the other end of the power cord to the DC power distribution panel in the equipment
room, with the black wire connected to the positive terminal and the blue wire connected to the
negative terminal.

The power supplies are installed along the right and left edges of the rear panel. As a best
practice, route the power cords as shown in

Figure2-9

Use cable clips every 250 mm (9.84 in) to bind the power cord to the rack.
