Thank you for choosing our product! In order to get the most from the equipment, please read the following
instructions carefully:
The GYSMI 151 is an Inverter, portable welder, for MMA electrode welding and TIG Lift in DC. It allows welding with
rutile, basic, stainless steel and cast iron electrodes. It works with a single phase 110V power supply. In TIG mode,
it allows welding of most metals except aluminium and its alloys. It is protected in order to work on generators
(110V +/- 15 %).
POWER SUPPLY – START UP
•
This machine is delivered without plug and must be connected to a 110 V (50-60Hz) supply with earth. The
absorbed effective current (I1eff) shown on the machine is when used at maximum output. Check that the power
supply and its protection (fuse and/or circuit-breaker) is compatible with the necessary current during use.
•
To start the machine press the ON / STAND BY button.
•
The device will go into protection mode if the power supply is over 150V. To indicate this error, the screen
displays
. Normal operation will resume after thirty seconds and when the voltage has returned to its nominal
range.
•
These are Class –A devices. They are designed to be used in an industrial or professional environment. In a
different environment, it can be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility, due to driven disturbances as
well as radiated.
•
This machine does not comply with the standard CEI 61000-3-12. Before connecting the unit to the public low
voltage network, the user must be sure that he is permitted to connect them.
•
Do not use the machine in an area containing metallic conducting dust/filings.
ELECTRODE WELDING (MMA Mode)
•
Apply the usual welding rules and good practise.
•
After use the machine should be left connected to the power supply to enable proper cooling.
•
Thermal protection: when the thermal protection indicator turns on, the cooling time will be about 2 to 5 min
according to the external temperature.
•
Your machine is featured with 3 specific functions to assist the welder :
Hot Start
increases the current at the beginning of the welding.
Arc Force
increases the current in order to avoid sticking if the electrode enters the welding pool.
Anti Sticking
allows easy withdrawal of the electrode without damage in the event of it sticking to the metal.
Selection of MMA Mode and current setting:
- Select the MMA position
with the button
.
- Adjust the current wanted (display
) using the keys
.
The current can be set from 10 to 145A.
Hot Start adjustment:
Hot Start is adjustable from 0 to 60% within the limit of 170A
Advice: low Hot Start for thin metal sheets – high Hot Start for metals that are difficult to weld (dirty or oxidized parts)
To adjust the Hot Start, go through the following steps:
Press the button
and hold for 3 seconds.
The inscription "HS" (Hot Start) starts flashing and a number appears.
Set the required percentage ( display
) using keys
Confirm the required figure by pressing the selector button
