USB Driver Installation
Background
The USB driver is actually a virtual COM port
driver that simulates a serial port (UART)
connection.
Note: The USB driver should not need to be
manually installed if your operating system has
been fully updated. In most cases, the PCS-1000
driver should be automatically installed when
connected to the PC.
If the driver is not automatically detected, or if
your operating system is not fully updated, it
may be necessary to install the USB driver, as
shown below.
Requirements
Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1
Note
The following installation instructions only apply if
the USB driver does not get automatically installed.
Steps
1.
Connect the PCS-1000 to a PC using the USB
Type A-Type B cable (GTL-240).
2.
The Windows
Found New Hardware
wizard
should pop up asking you to install the device
driver.
3.
Select
Locate and install driver software
.
4.
You will now be asked to insert a disk that
contains the USB driver.
Insert the User Manual CD. Windows will
automatically install the USB driver.
Note: If the Windows Security pop-up appears,
