Setting the DigtaScan barcode reader
• The DigtaScan must be inserted and latched into the
portable dictation machine (see also “Plugging in,
Unplugging”).
– Only when the DigtaScan is plugged in are the
associated menu items available on the dictation
machine.
• Switch on the dictation machine.
• Push the slide switch to »

• Press the » « button.
• Use the navigation buttons »◄►« to select » « and
then press the » « button.
• Use the navigation buttons »◄►« to select » «
– The » PROG. BARCODE « menu function appears in
the display.
Note:

• Scan in the programming code with the » « button.
– The machine acknowledges the successful reading of
the code with a single signal tone.
– You can scan any number of programming codes
consecutively with the » « button.
Note:
If the machine cannot read a code, it emits a double sig-
nal and displays the message » SCAN FAIL REPEAT ? «.
Confirm the error message with » «.
• Once you have made all the settings, press the » «
button to quit the menu.
