Operation

All pumps in automatic mode operate at the
same speed.

Manual

Manual

The pump operates according to the
settings set in the pump menu. It can either
start at a selected speed or stop.

Manual

Off

The pump is switched off. It cannot be
started via the display nor the remote
management system.

8.2 System operating modes

The table below describes the three operating modes for the
controller that can be activated via the system selector switch.

Mode

Description

Auto/
Remote

The controller controls the pump bank and bypass
valve, if any, according to the data collected from the
HVAC system. The controller can be controlled and
monitored via the remote management system.

Manual/
Local

The communication to the remote management
system is disabled. The controller operates according
to the user input set via the display. The user can
start and stop the pump bank and set the speed.

Off

The controller is switched off. It cannot be activated
via the display nor by the remote management
system. The display is still on and settings can be
changed.

8.3 Bypass valve operating modes

The table below describes the two operating modes for the bypass
valve that can be activated via the display.

Mode

Description

Auto

The valve is controlled by the controller.

Manual

The valve is not controlled by the controller. Its position
can be set via the display.

Off

The valve is not controlled by the controller.

9. Operating the product

9.1 Navigating the display

In the dashboard, press the bank icon to enter the bank menu.

Under each bank menu, press the device icon to enter the
device menu.

Use the right and left arrows to switch between the submenus,
such as status, settings, etc.

9.2 Operating the controller remotely

Enable the communication channel, which you want to use to
operate the controller remotely.

When remote access is enabled and it is not possible to start nor
stop the controller nor change the settings from the display.

9.3 Operating the controller manually

It is possible to switch the controller to manual mode in order to
operate the pump bank and the valve, if any, manually from the
display, regardless of the system data or Building Management
System data collected by the controller. This can be useful during
fault finding and service operation.

Set the system selector switch to 

Manual/Local

.

The communication with the remote management system, if any, is
now disabled and the pump bank starts operating in manual mode.
By default, the pump bank starts at the manual speed that was set
the last time the pump bank was operated manually. The first time
that the pump bank starts in manual mode, the speed is zero.

9.4 Setting the position of the bypass valve manually

Set the operating mode of the valve to

The valve opening is set to the value that was set the last time
the valve was operated manually.

Set the opening of the valve by dragging the pointer on the
scale.
The value indicated on the scale is in percentage of the
maximum opening.

9.5 Operating the pump bank manually

The pumps that are in automatic mode can be operated together at
a manually defined speed.

Set the system selector switch to

Set the speed by dragging the pointer on the scale.
The speed indicated on the scale is in percentage of the
maximum speed.

All the pumps that are in automatic mode operate at the same
speed. By default, the start speed is the manual speed that was last
set in manual mode. The pumps that are not in automatic mode
operate independently.
