Death or serious personal injury
- Before starting any work on the product, pumps,
pits, etc., make sure that the power supply has
been switched off and that it cannot be
accidentally switched on.
CAUTION

Fault
Cause
Remedy
1. The pump does not run.
a) No power supply.
Without battery back-up:
None of the indicator lights are on.
With battery back-up (accessory):
The indicator lights are on.
Switch on the power supply.
b) The Automatic/Manual/Off toggle switch is in the
Off position.
Push the Automatic/Manual/Off toggle switch to
Manual or Automatic.
c) The control circuit fuses are blown.
Check and eliminate the cause.
Replace the control circuit fuses.
d) The overload relay has cut out the pump (the red
indicator light for pump fault is permanently on).
Check the pump/pit.
e) The overtemperature sensor in the motor windings
has cut out the pump. The red indicator light for
pump fault is flashing.
Allow the pump to cool. After the pump cools, it
will restart automatically unless the SLC or DLC
toggle switch has been set to Manual. If so, the
Automatic/Manual/Off toggle switch must be
pushed into position Off for a short period.
If the pump cut off was caused by choked level
switches, these must be cleaned or replaced.
f)
The control circuit for the overload relay has been
broken or fails (the green indicator light indicating
pump operation is permanently on).
Check the control circuit.
g) The motor/supply cable is defective.
Check motor and cable.
h) The float switch(es) is (are) defective.
Check cables and float switches.
2. The pump is starting/
stopping too frequently.
a) The float switch(es) is (are) defective.
Check cables and float switches frequently.
