2 Introduction
The Combi-Line supplied by Grossenbacher Systeme AG is a future-
oriented product concept for industrial data processing and visualization. The
core of this line consists of three product groups:
•
LCD Panel
s are industrial flat screens. They allow the local separation of
the visualization/operation from the actual data processing (so-called,
distance solutions).
•
Box PC
s are industrial PCs without an integrated flat screen. Together
with the LCD Panels, they are used as a basis for distance solutions or
enable exclusive data processing without visualization (so-called
headless operation).
•
Panel PC
s are industrial PCs with an integrated flat screen. As an “all-in-
one” solution, they are used wherever ergonomic HMI operation and high
PC performance have to be combined in a small space.
The Combi Line therefore enables a wide range of applications for industrial
data processing and visualization to be implemented flexibly and powerfully.
The Compact Panel PC M described in this document belongs to the Panel
PC product group. This integrated solution of compact industrial PC and
brilliant flat screen offers the following outstanding benefits:

Box PC product group. This device offers all the above features
The three integrated Ethernet-Interfaces grant an easy connection of a
variety remote peripheral device. The RS232 and USB interfaces can be
used for connecting peripheral devices.
The device can be mounted in control cabinets or desks (Compact Panel
PC). The devices are not intended for mobile use.
This device description is designed as a reference guide for the installation,
connection, operation and maintenance of all versions of the Compact Panel
PC M line, and also provides all the relevant technical data.
