Quick Change Gearbox
The quick change gearbox is lubricated with 20W
non-detergent oil, ISO 68, or an equivalent gear
box machine oil. Keep the oil level full as seen in
the sight glass (
Figure 88) .
After the first month of daily operation, drain and
refill the gear box. See
Figure 89
for plug loca-
tions. Change the gearbox oil yearly, or more
frequently if heavy machine use requires it.
After the first month of daily operation, drain the
oil through the drain plug at the back of the head-
stock (
Figure 86
), open the side cover and refill
the headstock through the fill plug (
Figure 87
).
Change the headstock oil yearly, or more fre-
quently if heavy machine use requires it.
