Sawing off small branches:
Apply the impact surface of the saw
to the branch in order to avoid sud-
den movements of the saw at the start
of cutting. Guide the saw downward
through the branch with slight pressure
from above. Be mindful of premature
breaking of the branch if you have mis-
judged the size and weight.
•
Sawing off larger branches:
For controlled sawing in the case of
larger branches, start by selecting a re-
lief cut. To do this, saw a notch (a) in the
lower third of the branch (with the top
side of the blade). Then saw towards the
first cut (b) from top to bottom (with the
bottom side of the blade).
•
Sawing off in parts:
Saw off large/long branches in sections
to give you control over the impact loca-
tion.
• Start by sawing off the lower branches
on the tree in order to facilitate falling of
the cut branches.
• After finishing the cut, the weight of the
saw suddenly increases for the opera-
tor, as the saw is no longer supported
on the branch. There is a risk of losing
control over the equipment.
• Pull the saw out of the cut only with the
saw chain running, in order to avoid
jamming.
• Do not saw with the tip of the cutting
equipment.
• Do not saw in the most rubbery branch-
es, as this inhibits the tissue repair of
the tree.
Transport
• Ensure that the equipment is
switched off when changing loca
-
tions and that fingers do not touch
the on/off switch.
• Carry the equipment by the tel-
escopic handle with the chain and
blade pointing backward.
• Attach the chain guard for trans-
porting and storing the equipment.
Maintenance and cleaning
There is a risk of serious injury
in case of improper maintenance
and removal of safety devices.
Carry out maintenance and
cleaning work strictly with the
motor switched off and the
equipment disconnected from
the mains. Risk of injury!
Have repair and maintenance
work not described in these
instructions (e.g. changing the
carbon brushes) carried out by
