The equipment is fitted with an oiling
mechanism. As soon as the motor is run-
ning, the oil flows to the blade.
•
Regularly check the oil level in the
inspection window (18) and refill
with oil in time.
•
Use Grizzly bio oil, which contains
additives to reduce friction and
wear. This can be ordered from our
service centre.
•
If Grizzly bio oil is unavailable, use
chain lubricating oil with a low pro-
portion of adhesive additives.
1. Unscrew the oil tank cap (17) and
pour the chain oil into the tank.
2. Wipe off any spilt oil and close
the oil tank cap.
Initial operation
Observe the country-specific and
local authority regulations. Do not
work during commonly accepted or
mandatory rest periods.
• Before starting, check:
-
The saw chain tension
-
The oil level
- All nuts and screws are sitting
firmly
• Ensure suitable protective clothing.
• Adjust the working length of the tel-
escopic handle before switching on the
equipment.
• Remove the protective blade cover
only at the last minute.
• Put on the shoulder strap.
• Check you are standing safely.
• Check your working surroundings.
sagging (wear protective gloves).
• When the saw chain (2) is pulled
with a tensile force of 10 N (ap-
prox. 1 kg), the distance between
saw chain and blade should be
no more than 4 mm.
1. Hold the blade firmly at the tip.
To tension the saw, turn the chain ten-
sioning screw (27)
clockwise
.
To loosen the tension, turn the chain
tensioning screw
anticlockwise
.
2. Tighten the blade fixing screw (5)
firmly.
For new saw chains (2), the chain
tension must be readjusted again
after a short time in operation.
Assembling the round handle
The Allen key (7) can be found in its
holder on the quick release (8).
1. Undo the two screws on the
round handle (10) supplied and
take off the rivet dolly (31).
2. Place the round handle in the
desired position on the telescopic
handle (9) and fit the rivet dolly.
3. Screw together the round handle
(10) and rivet dolly (31).
4. The height or holding angle of
the round handle can be adjusted
at any time by slightly loosening
both screws, pushing/turning and
retightening the screws.
Filling with chain oil
The blade and saw chain must
never be without oil. In case of non-
