2. Undo the blade fixing screw (
5)
and take off the chain wheel cover (
6)
3. Take off the old saw chain (
2).
The assembly and tensioning of the new
saw chain are described in the “Assembly”
chapter.
Maintaining the blade
The blade must be turned over every
8 – 10 working hours in order to guarantee
even wear (for this, see the “Initial operati-
on” chapter).
1. Switch off the equipment and discon
-
nect from the mains.
2. Take off the chain wheel cover (6),
saw chain (2) and blade (3) (see pic-
ture).
3. Check the blade (3) for wear. Remove
burrs and straighten the guide sur-
faces with a flat file.
4. Clean the oil channels (32) in
order to guarantee fault-free,
automatic oiling of the saw chain
during operation.
5. Assemble the blade, saw chain and
chain wheel cover and retension the
saw chain (see the “Assembly” chap-
ter).
When the oil channels are in opti-
mum condition, the saw chain au-
tomatically sprays a little oil a few
seconds after the saw is started.
Storage
•
Clean the equipment before putting it
away.
•
Put on blade cover.
• Always empty the oil tank before
pauses in operation lasting several
weeks because the biological chain oil
can become resinous and block the oil
outlet channel.
Dispose of used oil in
an environmentally correct manner.
• Store the device in a dry, frost-free,
and dust-protected place and out of
reach of children.
