Exchanging the string cutter (fig. 9)

Check the string cutter. Do not use

the appliance without a string or

with a defective string. Contact our

nearest Service Centre in case the

string cutter is damaged.

1. Loosen the two fastening screws (31) and

remove the string cutter (9).

2. Position the new string cutter and screw it

tight.

Cleaning

Always keep the appliance clean. Do no use

cleaning agents and solvents.

• After the work has been completed remove

all grass and soil from the cutting device

and the protective cover.

• Ensure that the ventilation slots are always

clean and free of grass.

• Clean the appliance with a soft brush or a

cloth.

Do not jet water onto the appliance

and do not clean it under flowing wa

ter. This would result in the danger

of an electric shock and the appli-

ance could be damaged.

Storage

• Carefully clean the appliance and its ac-

cessories after each use (see “Mainte

nance and cleaning”), thereby avoiding

mould formation.

• Store the appliance in a dry place well out

of reach of children.

• Do not expose the appliance for extended

periods to direct sunlight.

• Do not wrap plastic sacks around the ap-

pliance as this could result in the forma-

tion of moisture and mould.

• Do not stand the appliance on its protec-

tive cover. Suspend it by its upper handle

in such a manner that the protective cover

does not come into contact with other ob-

jects. This is because the protective cover

could become deformed, thereby chang-

ing its dimensions and its safety proper-

ties.

Disposal and protection of

the environment

Dispose of the appliance, its accessories

and the packaging in an environment-friendly

manner.

Electrical appliances must not be dispo-

sed of with the domestic waste

Hand in a redundant appliance to a recycling

centre. The plastic and metals can then be

sorted out and graded for recycling. Our Ser-

vice Centre will be happy to answer any ques

tions in this respect.

Defective units returned to us will be disposed

of for free.
