4. Remove the protective cover on the string
cutter (9).
Operation
Never use the appliance without its
protective cover. Always check the
operability of the appliance before it
is used. Check that the mains volt-
age is the same as indicated on the
rating plate. Always wear protective
equipment when working with the
appliance.
Please observe local regulations con-
cerning noise protection.
Adjusting the rotary handle
(fig. 4)
1. In order to adjust the working angle, loos-
en the wing screw (13) and turn the rotary
handle (14) to the desired position.
2. Re-tighten the wing screw (13).

Adjusting the height of the anti-
vibration hand grip (fig. 5)
1. Open the wing screw (10) on the anti-
vibration hand grip (11) and adjust the grip
height to the desired position.
2. Re-tighten the wing screw (10).

Putting on the shoulder strap
(fig. 6)
Always wear a shoulder strap when
working with the device. Always
turn the device off before releasing
the shoulder strap. Accident hazard.
1. Put the strap (17) on.
2. Adjust the length of the strap so that the
snap hook is approximately 10 cm below
your waist.
3. Attach the snap hook to the lifting eyelet
(12) on the device.
