Functional description
The portable, hand-guided trimmer is pow -
ered by an electric motor. The appliance fea -
tures a dual line spool as the cutting device.
For grass trimming there are two nylon lines
rotating parallel with ground level. An addition-
al chassis facilitates edge trimming. A hood
covering the cutting device protects the user.
The following describes the functions of the
operating parts.
Assembling instructions
Always disconnect the plug before
working.
You should use only original parts
and be careful when assembling the
string cutter. Risk of injury!
Before you use the device for the first time
it is necessary to mount the protective cover
and the two-piece handle.
Mounting the two-piece handle
(fig. 2)
1. To remove the protective transport cap
(18), press the locking button (19) on the
lower section of the handle (6) and pull
the cap off.
2. Loosen the handle fastening screw (5) on
the upper section of the handle (4).
3. Insert the two sections of the handle into
each other such that the locking button
(19) clicks into place in the appropriate
recess (20) in the upper section of the
handle.
4. Re-tighten the handle-fastening screw (5).
Before you start the device, make sure
that the lower section of the handle
is firmly and securely in place and lo -
cated in the correct position.

5. Dismantling:
Release the handle-fastening screw (5).
Press the locking button (19) and pull the
two sections of the handle apart.
Mounting the protective cover
(fig. 3)
Never use the device without the
protective cover properly mounted.
Risk of injury.
1. Pull the protective cover (7) over the lower
tube of the handle (6) and place it on the
tube holder (21). This then locks into the
correct position.
2. Push the angle piece (22) into the open -
ing on the protective cover.
3. Attach the protective cover and the angle
piece using the four screws with washers
and lock washers (23).
