UPGRADING THE PROGRAMMER SOFTWARE
After downloading the latest version of PG4U, just redo a standard installation (please refer to the
previous paragraph). Just answer “All” to the “Overwrite” request.
USING THE PROGRAMMER SOFTWARE
! IMPORTANT !
The control program delivered, included on the floppy in Your package, is granted to be free from
any viruses at the moment of delivery. To increase their safety our programs include a special
algorithm for detecting possible virus infections. Therefore keep the delivered floppy write
protected.
To run the control program from command line of MS/PC-DOS write:
PG4U
in Windows environment: double click to icon PG4UW.
After start, control program PG4U or PG4UW automatically scans all existing ports and searchs for
a programmer there connected. Program PG4U/PG4UW is common for all programmers, hence
program tries to find all supported programmers (UEP 48, EP 32, MP AVR-51, MP PIK and
SEEP).

- Run program PG4U with /? or /h parameter to list of all available command line parameters
- When the PG4U/PG4UW program is started, program is checked for its integrity. Than the
program display a standard user menu and waits for your instructions.
If the control program cannot communicate with the programmer, an error message appears on the
screen, including error code and description of possible reasons (disconnected programmer, bad
connection, power supply failure, incompatible printer port, ...). Eliminate the error source and press
any key. If error condition still exist, the program resumes its operation in the demo mode and access
to the programmer is not possible. If you cannot find the cause of the error, follow the instructions
in “TROUBLESHOOTING” section. In addition, the control program checks communication with
programmer prior to any operation with the programmed device.
