Section 6 — L-S Series Panel Operation
Un-protecting or Unlocking a Destination
The panel that originally protected or locked a Destination can clear those
states for that Destination.
1.
Confirm the desired locked or protected Destination(s) are selected.
2.
Press the
Protect/Lock
button once (protected Destination) or twice
(locked Destination). The
Take
button will illuminate.
3.
Press
Take
, the protected or locked state will then be cleared.
Source Swap Mode (LD4 Panel)
If the Source Swap mode has been turned ON, the display windows will
preset to the previously-selected Source, shown in Blue after each Take.
This permits flip-flop switching on the LD4 panel using just the
Take
button.
1.
Press
Menu
. The display windows will display various modes.
2.
Use the
Up/Down
arrow buttons to display
Panel Config?
in the D4 window
and press its soft button.
3.
The
Source Swap
menu will be displayed in the D2 window with its
current status (ON or OFF).
4.
Press
Take
to toggle the state ON or OFF.
The panel will exit Menu mode and operate with the new state.
Overrides (LD4 Panel)
Overrides can be used for a quick or emergency switch to an often-used
Source and level combination. For example, the black burst generator could
be defined as the first “override” Source for a particular control panel, cor-
responding to the first override soft key position. Override names can be
customized if desired. Each override can be configured to switch any
desired combination of router levels. The order that the overrides are listed
on the CP Override set table will be the order in which they appear on the
panel.
To Execute an Override
1.
Select the desired Destination.
2.
Press
Menu
, use the Up/Down arrow buttons to display
Select Override
in
the D2 window and press its soft button.
3.
The display windows will indicate available overrides. To scroll to
additional override groups, use the
Up/Down
arrow buttons.
