System Shut Down
Follow the procedure below for normal system shut
down, such as at the end of the work day.
1.
Make sure the pump rod is parked in the down
position.
2.
Close the air motor isolation ball valve.
3.
If a 7–day timer is not being used, place the HEAT
OFF/ON switch (SS125) (Fig. 28) to the OFF
position.

4.
Lock the dispense valve trigger open by pulling
and securing the trigger using the handle ring.
CAUTION
Many hot melt materials tend to expand when heat-
ing up and may cause a heated hose to burst.
Avoid the potential of bursting a hose by opening
the dispense valve during system heat up and lock
the dispense valve trigger open every time you shut
the system down.
5.
If the optional 7–day timer is not being used,
position the main disconnect (Fig. 29) to OFF.
