Pour out boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the device too quickly.
■
Always lay the mains cable in such a way that it does not present a trip hazard. Do
not allow the mains cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others
may become caught and pull the device down.
Danger of Electric Shock
■
The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety
contacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that
the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match
the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical
data is the same as that of the device.
■
Never immerse the kettle, base station, mains cable or mains plug in water or other

■
Should the base station fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do
not attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
■
Never touch the kettle, base station, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when
these components are connected to the mains power.
■
Take the kettle off the base station to
fi

water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle.
■
Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation or before a thunderstorm.
■
Always pull the mains plug and never the mains cable.
■
Do not pull or carry the base station by the mains cable.
■
Use the device only in closed rooms. Do not use the device in a very damp environ-

■
The mains cable must not be squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and must not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. It may only be
used if it has no visible signs of damage!
