PLEASE NOTE!

The water level should never exceed the
MAX
mark, because it could pour over the
sides (see the “Operation” chapter).
■
Never operate the device without water or with the water level below the
MIN
mark. If
this does happen, the heating element of the device switches off automatically (pro-
tection against running dry). In this case, allow the device to cool down for around
5 – 10 minutes before water is poured in and the device is used again.
Only ever
fi
ll the water container (

) with fresh, clear tap water. Do not pour in any
other liquids.
If water needs to be added, switch off the device, pull the mains plug out of the
socket and allow the device to cool down for a few minutes. When opening the
lid (

), only touch the handles and use potholders or the like and be careful.
1. Remove the lid from the water container.
2. Fill the water container with water (see the "Operation" chapter).
3. Close the lid.
4. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket that is easily accessible. A beep
will be heard and the display (
A
) lights up brie
fl
y.
5. Press the On/Off switch (
B
) to switch on the device. The display lights up and the
temperature display
fl
ashes.
6. If necessary use the
°C
/
°F
button (
D
) to change the required unit (in 1 °C steps) (see
the "Functions" chapter).
7. Press the
+
(
C
) or
–
button (
F
) in order to set the required temperature. Hold the rel-
evant button down for fast incremental setting.
8. Press the
Timer
/
Temp
button (

) in order to apply the time setting. The time setting
fl
ashes in the display.
9. Press the
+
or
–
button in order to set the required operating time (in 30-minute
steps). Hold the relevant button down for fast incremental setting.
10. Press the
Start
/
Stop
button (
G
) in order to start the heating process. The display will
show the current temperature of the water.
If the
°C
/
°F
button is pressed during operation, the display shows the set tem-
perature for around 5 seconds. After that the display switches back to the current
temperature of the water.
If the
Timer
/
Temp
button is pressed during operation, both the temperature and
the operating time can be re-set. The heating process then has to be re-started
using the
Start / Stop
button.
11. As soon as the speci
fi
ed temperature has been reached, 3 beeps will be heard and
the time display
fl
ashes.
12. Remove the lid from the device.
13. Use kitchen tongs or the like to place the foodstuffs into the water container directly,
or into the vacuum bag holder (
4
) and then place the holder into the container (see
the "Operation" chapter).
