Insert Tape

Insert a prerecorded tape, such as a rented
movie in Deck 1.
Notes:
• Movie Advance only works in Deck 1.
• VHS tapes must be recorded in SP speed

with the record safety tab removed.

Open “Search Menu”

Press the Search/Index button on the
remote control.

Note: Rows 6 and 7 on the “Search Menu”
are displayed only if there is a VHS tape
inserted in Deck 1 with the record safety-
tab removed.

Select “Find Next Preview”

From the “Search” menu press 6.

The “Searching for Preview” screen appears
and the deck begins to cue forward.

The “Find Next Preview” function searches
the tape past the preview and then reverses
back to the beginning. The preview will
then begin to play.

During playback of the preview, press
Search/Index to search to the next preview.

The Movie Advance feature
provides an easy way to scan
through or skip the previews often
found at the start of prerecorded
movies.
