6.1
Operating mode 1
6.1.1
Crimping in one step (button 1)
The opening stroke of the crimp die is adjusted to the crimp contact size via display buttons 2 and 4. A
smaller opening stroke means a shorter crimp cycle. The set opening stroke is shown on the display (3).

6.2.1
Crimping in two steps (button 1)
In operating mode 2, the crimp contact is fixed after operating the foot pedal, and then is crimped after
operating the foot pedal once more. Just as in operating mode 1, the opening stroke of the crimp die can
be adjusted via buttons 2 and 4. The crimp contact fixing is configured via buttons 5 and 7. In accordance
with the crimp contact diameter, the fixing point is established by tests. The properly selected setting
keeps the crimp contact clamped securely between the halves of the die without being deformed. The
value set (6) for the fixing must be smaller by a minimum of value 10 compared to the opening stroke. If
failing to take this into account, the control system automatically calculates the difference of 10.
Fig. 28: Operating mode 2
The values set for the opening stroke and the fixing can be saved for each contact type.
