3.1. Web Management - Overview
This switch has a management web page that allows the user to make configurations and
view system status. The configuration options are divided into the following categories.
Administrator:
This section contains settings regarding to the switch’s system,
including system password, switch IP settings, system status, updating firmware, system
reboot and reset all settings back to factory default.
Port Management:
Here you can make settings regarding to all the ports of this switch,
including port speed, Port Mirroring, Bandwidth Control, Broadcast Storm Control, and
Power over Ethernet (PoE).
VLAN Setting:
VLAN stands for Virtual LAN, which allows you to separate ports into
different VLAN groups. Only member of the same VLAN group can transmit/receive
packets among each other, while other ports in different VLAN group can’t. Here we will
demonstrate how to set port-based VLAN.
Per Port Counter:
This section displays transmitting/receiving statistics of all the ports
of the switch.
QoS Setting:
This function allows you to control the network priority (which packet gets
top priority to transmit and which gets low priority). Here we will demonstrate set certain
port in high priority so that packets transmitting/receiving via that port will have higher
priority.
Security:
Here in this section contains the security features of this switch such MAC
Binding and TCP/UDP Filter.
Spanning Tree:
This section allows you to make configurations regarding to Spanning
Tree and Rapid Spanning Tree.
Trunking:
You can combine multiple ports to act as a logical trunking port here.
Backup/Recovery:
Here you can save all current switch settings as “*.bin” file, or
upload existing configuration file and apply the settings to the switch.
Miscellaneous:
You can set Output Queue Aging Time, VLAN Striding, IGMP, and
VLAN Uplink here.
Logout:
Log out of the management web page.
