Intended use
A window unit is made up of the F 1200+ drive, the F 1200 fitting and a window for the private and commercial
sector. The drive system is used for the electromotive opening and closing of the windows. The window units
have been designed for permanent installation and vertical installation in the façade and are suitable for large
side-hung or bottom-hung leaves:

The F 1200+ drive is
not
approved for use in fire protection applications (such as e.g. smoke and heat extrac-
tion system, SHEV etc.).

The F 1200+ drive can be used as an individual drive (solo drive) on a window.

Multiple installation of two or more drives of this type on one window is
not
permitted.
à
The drive system is designed solely for use in dry rooms and must not be subjected to highly corrosive envi-
ronments (e.g. sea air or marine air).
Any other use or use beyond this purpose is regarded as not to the intended use.

Product liability
In compliance with the liability of the manufacturer for his products as defined in the German “Product Liability
Act”, compliance with the information contained in this brochure (product information and intended use, misuse,
product performance, product maintenance, obligations to provide information and instructions) must be en-
sured.
Warranty claims require proper mounting, installation and maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's
specifications.
Failure to comply releases the manufacturer from his statutory liability.

GEZE shall assume no liability for damage caused by unauthorised changes to the window unit.

GEZE does not accept any warranty for combinations with third-party devices and products.

Only use GEZE original parts for repair and service work.

Safety notices

Read and follow the following safety notices before using the product in order to guarantee personal safety.
4.1 Personnel qualification

Only experts and qualified personnel who are authorised by GEZE may carry out assembly, electrical connec-
tion, commissioning, functional testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, decommissioning and disassembly.
4.2 Safety-conscious working

Only allow a qualified electrician to set up the connection to the 24V supply voltage.

Secure workplace against unauthorised entry.
Risk of injury by trapping, knocking, shearing and hair etc. being pulled in at unsecured points

Secure hazardous spots before all work on the window unit.

Wear suitable protective equipment.
Risk of injury by the leaf slamming open and closed

During disassembly of the connection between drive and window: Secure the leaf properly against slamming
open and closed.
