1.6 Set up the ID, Beeper or LED
The
GV-QR1352 / GV-DES1352
Setup AP
allows you to set the reader’s ID number and
beeper / LED. The program can be downloaded from our website.
You can connect up to 8 GV-QR1352 readers to a single RS-485 interface on the controller.
For connecting multiple readers together, you need to set up a unique ID number for each
reader in order for the controller to recognize them.
Note:
The ID setting is only required for the reader connected through RS-485.
By default, when a card or QR code approaches GV-QR1352 / DES1352 (no matter it is
granted or denied), the reader will beep. The setup AP allows you to change how GV-
QR1352 / DES1352 reacts upon being approached, from a beep to a flashing red LED or
green LED.
Note:
The beep, LED settings are applicable to both the RS-485 and Wiegand readers.
Once you download and install the
GV-QR1352 / GV-DES1352 Setup AP
on a PC, GV-
QR1352 / DES1352 needs to connect to the PC through a
RS-485 to USB converter
, e.g.,
GV-COM V3, as illustrated below.
