Wait 10 minutes for all of the valves to check into the hub to
get the new setpoint temperature.
•
To make sure the radiator valves have received the signal from
the Genius Hub any of the three buttons can be pressed to light
up the screen. Each valve should read the same as the
temperature that was selected for the Override, i.e. 28º.
There
may be a short delay before the screen comes to life as the
valve communicates with the Genius Hub.
•
If you are still within 10 minutes of setting the Override in each
room, check that all of the radiators are COLD and
not HOT
!
This check ensures that the valves are properly mounted on the
radiators and they can turn the radiators off.
The valves will
take a minimum of 15 minutes to react when first installed on
the radiators.
•
Cancel the Override then check the boiler controller goes back
to showing a red LED.
•
Wait 10 minutes and check that all of the radiator valves revert
back to showing 4º when a button is pressed.
Repeat the same test for the hot water, to check that when you
override the hot water on the app the correct valve opens and the
pipe to the hot water tank gets hot.
If there is an error with any of the devices then it is likely that they
either need to be moved into a location where they are closer to a
smart plug, the boiler controller or Hub, or one of the smart plugs
needs to be moved slightly closer to the problem device.
Note: Error messages appear if the wireless devices fail to
communicate successfully with the Hub. Error messages can take a
long time to show, as in the case of the room sensors it needs to have
been 2 hours without communication for them to register an error.
