Testing the system
Once all of the devices are in their final location. Check with Heat
Genius technical support that they are communicating ok.
Note: Error messages appear if the wireless devices fail to
communicate successfully with the Hub. Error messages can take a
long time to show, as in the case of the room sensors it needs to have
been 2 hours without communication for them to register an error.
If there is an error with any of the devices then it is likely that they
either need to be moved into a location where they are closer to a
smart plug, the boiler controller or Hub, or one of the smart plugs
needs to be moved slightly closer to the problem device.
Manual test
To test the valves are communicating with the Genius Hub first set all
of the rooms to Override at 28º for 60 minutes.
•
Check that the boiler controller comes on (the red LED turns to
green and the boiler fires as normal).
•
Check that the central heating pipe from the zone valve or
boiler gets hot.
STOP!
The smart plugs will not work effectively unless
