Connector Pinouts
The SRM-6 provides only two external connections: the front panel mass termination DCE channel
connector and the rear panel DB25 aggregate port connector. Pinouts for these connectors are listed
below. The other interfaces (craft, line, LAN, WAN, etc.) are provided by the SCM or the modem/
DSU companion cards. Refer to their respective manuals for those interface pinouts.
SRM-6 Mass Term Wired DCE Connector
(Interface “G” in Figure 2-2 )
The SRM-6 front panel provides a mass termination connector which provisions up to six DCE
channels. The table below describes these connector pinouts. Pins not listed are not used.
SCM Front Panel Craft Interface
(Interface “J” in Figure 2-2 )
The SpectraComm Manager card (SCM) provides a front panel craft (CTRL) port for local
configuration and monitoring. This EIA-232 interface is fixed as serial async 9600 baud. 8 data bits,
1 Start/Stop, No Parity. For detailed pinout information, refer to the SCM manual.

The table describes pinouts at the RS232 channel connectors (1 to 6). Pins not listed are not used.
