4 – 1 Main components
The BRV track brushing tool comprises:
– one fitted rotating brush [1] ;
– one conveyor [2] ;
– two manual parking brakes [3] ;
– two rail brushes [4] ;
– one coupling bar [5] .
4 – 1 – 1 Fitted rotating brush
The rotating brush is made up of rubber tubes 55 mm in diameter. The rotating brush is driven
by a hydraulic motor. It sweeps the track and throws the ballast onto the conveyor by means of
the tubes and as a result of its speed of rotation.
