Contact Closure Modes
The 2x1 DVIKVM DL Switch provides two contact-closure modes: Discrete and
Toggle modes.
• Toggle mode
In toggle mode , the 2x1 DVIKVM DL Switch uses the RMT2 (not included) to
switch between DVI inputs.
• Discrete mode
In discrete mode , the 2x1 DVIKVM DL Switch follows the current state of the
TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) wiring.
a. If the Ring (negative) is shorted to the Sleeve (signal ground),
then DVI In 2 will be selected.
b. If the Ring is not shorted to the Sleeve, then DVI In 1 will be selected.

1. To set the desired contact-closure mode, locate the bank of DIP switches
on the bottom of the unit.
