2.6 Clock outputs UT1 and UT2
The module has two clock outputs, UT1 and UT2, which only operate together with the
assigned alarm inputs, IN1 and IN2.
The clock outputs provide the input voltage for the alarm inputs. Each of these clock
outputs provides a pulse pattern for monitoring the external wiring and the connected
loads.
Parameterization The assignment of clock outputs to alarm inputs is fixed and cannot be parameterized.

Error detection Error detection is via the assigned alarm input.
Diagnostics The diagnostics of clock outputs and the associated alarm inputs are based on the
expected behavior for the corresponding signals depending on the switching state of the
monitored load.
NOTE: Incorrect use of the clock outputs or alarm inputs may damage the device
– The clock outputs and alarm inputs are not safe inputs and outputs. They are used
for diagnostic purposes only and are not available to the safe controller.
– The clock outputs must not be used to supply external loads.
