Examples of internal inputs and outputs include:

: This is an output from the Stage 1 Earth Fault protection function, which can be input into
the PSL to create further functionality. This is therefore an

, which can be asserted to reset the output relays and LEDs.
The FSL is fixed, but the PSL allows you to create your own scheme logic design. For this, you need a
suitable PC support package to facilitate the design of the PSL scheme. This PC support package is
provided in the form of the PSL Editor, which is included as part of the MiCOM S1 Agile engineering tool.
The PSL Editor is one of a suite of applications available in the settings application software, but is also
available as a standalone package. This tool is described in the Settings Application Software chapter.
