Step

Action

1

Turn the adapter lid counter-clockwise from the locked position labelled
“2” on the top end-piece to position “1” as shown in the illustration (a). If
necessary, use the supplied wrench (b).

2

Wet the adapter rod with ethanol and pull the adapter lid to its upper
stop position (c). If the adapter sticks to the column, use the wrench as
shown in the illustration (d).

3

Pull out the entire adapter from the column glass tube (e).

4

Use the wrench supplied to remove the bottom filter unit (f) from the
column.
