LED Status Displays
The LED displays other gyro conditions in addition to initialisation.
The LED S is lit green
The gyro is in AVCS mode. The tail control lever is not deflected.
The LED S flashes green in twos
The gyro is in AVCS mode. The tail control lever is deflected or the trimming was adjusted.
The LED S is lit red
The gyro is in normal mode. The tail control lever is not deflected.
The LED S flashes red in twos
The gyro is in normal mode. The tail control lever is deflected or the trimming was adjusted.
The LED S continually flashes slowly in orange
The gyro no longer receives any valid receiver signal.
The LED S continually flashes slowly in orange and LEDs 1 -3 are lit green
The gyro could not perform initialisation due to a missing receiver signal.
Setting the Operating Mode AVCS/Normal and Gyro Sensitivity
The operating mode and gyro sensitivity of 0 – 100% can be best set at the transmitter when using a slider (encoder).
A sensitivity setting of 0% means that the stabilising effect of the gyro is deactivated; 100% means that the highest gyro
sensitivity is reached. In this case, even very small direction changes of the gyro are sufficient to cause large correction
deflections at the connected servo.
The slider (encoder) at the transmitter not only sets the gyro
sensitivity, but also switches the operating mode. Therefore, the
centre position of the slider (50% encoder path) corresponds to a
gyro sensitivity to 0%.
Depending on control direction at the encoder, gyro sensitivity is
increased in normal or AVCS mode.
The two slider end positions (0% or100% encoder path) then
always correspond to the maximum gyro sensitivity of 100%.
For an encoder position of 0 – 50%, the gyro is acting in normal
mode (the LED S is lit red) and for an encoder position of
50 - 100%, the gyro is acting in AVCS mode (the LED S is lit
green).
The slider can also be replaced by a rocker switch for switching
operating modes. In this case, the adjustment values required
must be programmed in the transmitter’s ATV menu (path setting
of the control encoders).
In connection with a flight condition switch, this makes it possible to programme separate gyro sensitivities for hover flight,
round flight and freestyle flight.
